The Tirfor machine is a multi-purpose wire rope machine, the originality of which is in the jaw mechanism. As opposed to traditional winches where the wire winds round a drum, the wire rope is pulled through the machine by the two pairs of self gripping jaws which grip the wire rope without deforming it.

For suspended cradles and platforms, the Tirfor machine gives: smooth operation – constant effort – unlimited height – complete safety.

For additional safety, it is recommended that a Blocstop secondary safety device is used in conjunction with Tirfor machines on suspended cradles and platforms, safeguarding any possible failure in the machine.
